Causes of Poverty:

Poverty refers to the condition of not having the means to afford basic human needs such as clean water, nutrition, health care, clothing and shelter.

1. High population growth rate .
2. Illiteracy
3. Environmental degradation.
4. No attention is given to already poor families instead they are being tortured
and hence poverty continues.
5. Corruption
6. Physical or mental handicap or disability
7. Family break-up

This is not to say that all people with any of these problems must be poor or
must become poor. It is to say these are the common contributors to poverty.
